This is one of my new favorite places! So peaceful, so beautiful, so nature.

Hike Report
Today our plan is to complete the four “easy” rated hikes I need for the 4-3-2-1 Way Challenge. Yesterday, we did hike Buttermilk Falls, which is one of the eligible easy hikes, but in an effort to do as much hiking as possible while I have someone to do it with, I will take all the hikes I am able to squeeze into one day.
First up on our list, was Deathbrook Falls. It is also known as “Secret Falls”. And what a gem of a secret this was.
At just a little over .5 mile to get to some thing this beautiful, and to have barely anyone there at all… that’s a secret well kept.

This is one of my new favorite places. A super short and completely flat hike to an incredible and beautiful waterfall. There were paths off the main trail, which I assume may have lead to the top of the falls. We did not venture up any of them today – but I would be interested in coming back to see where they might lead.
This would also be a great place to bring a book to read or sketch/paint for awhile.
Trip Stats
- Distance: 0.58 miles (round trip)
- Total Time: 21 minutes
- Ascent: 15m
- Weather: Partly Sunny, about 78F.
- GPS System: Gaia GPS (see hike here)
Rating
Overall I would give this hike a 9 out of 10. Very easy wide path to get to such beautiful scenery.
